Royalty.io lets you invest in creators by buying digital tokens that represent a share of a creator's upcoming earnings (usually over 12, 24, or 36 months). As the creator earns ad revenue from YouTube, you receive automatic payouts based on how many tokens you hold and how long you hold them.
No. You are not buying ownership of the channel or content. You’re buying rights to a portion of future ad revenue, tracked and paid out through smart contracts.
Not necessarily. If you understand how buying a bond or royalty share works, the logic is similar. Royalty.io handles wallets and smart contracts in the background. All earnings are distributed in Royalty Coin ($RC), pegged 1:1 to USD, which can be instantly withdrawn in crypto, so some basic comfort with digital wallets helps when you invest in YouTube creators on Royalty.io
It’s more like buying a revenue-share note. You're not speculating on valuation, you're earning based on real revenue. If the creator earns more, you earn more. If they earn less, your payouts decrease.
Token & earnings
Each token represents a fraction of a creator's future YouTube ad revenue over a defined period. You get paid in proportion to the number of tokens you hold and the time you hold them.
Payouts happen monthly, according to YouTube payment cycles, in Royalty Coin ($RC), which is pegged 1:1 to USD. You can instantly convert $RC to USDT or, in future, fiat.
Earnings are calculated minute-by-minute. The smart contract tracks your token holdings in real time. The longer you hold, the more you earn.
Yes. You can sell your tokens to other users on the Royalty.io marketplace by creating a sell order. Your earnings will stop once you no longer hold the token.
No hard cap. Your earnings depend entirely on how the creator performs. If the channel grows rapidly, so do your returns.
Creators who launch tokens on Royalty.io agree to certain obligations, including maintaining their content frequency, staying within their niche, and continuing to grow on YouTube during the token period.
If a creator fails to meet those commitments, for example, they stop posting or shift to another platform, Royalty.io may extend the revenue-sharing period or take other steps to ensure investors receive a fair return based on the original expectations.
That said, some level of risk remains: if the creator is active but earnings drop naturally (e.g. algorithm shifts or seasonal dips), payouts may decrease. Revenue is distributed based on actual income, not projections, so performance always plays a role.
Access & payments
Right now, all deposits can be made using crypto stablecoin USDT only. Support for fiat payments/deposits (via PayPal, Stripe, etc.) is in the works and will be available soon.
When you withdraw, your $RC balance is instantly converted to USDT at a 1:1 rate, since $RC is pegged to USD. You can then transfer USDT to your preferred crypto wallet.
Support for fiat withdrawals (like bank transfers or card payouts) is coming soon.
Yes. The minimum buy is $20, and the minimum deposit is $40. This helps cover the transaction and processing costs on our end, which Royalty.io absorbs as part of its platform service — we don’t charge those fees separately.
These thresholds are designed to keep the experience smooth and cost-efficient for everyone, especially as we cover gas and operational fees from our commission.
There are small transaction fees on marketplace trades. Earnings are distributed net of those fees, which is standard when you invest in creators via a marketplace.
Risks & strategy
No, returns are tied to how much the creator earns from YouTube ads during the token period. If their revenue drops, your earnings may decrease. Like any investment, there’s a level of risk.
However, some creators choose to launch their tokens with a Target Revenue commitment, meaning they pledge to deliver a specific minimum return to investors. If they don’t meet that target, Royalty.io may extend the token’s revenue-sharing period or take other steps to ensure fair payout. When applicable, these commitments will be clearly stated on the token’s page before you invest.
Royalty.io offers public data on each creator’s performance and potential. You can view subscriber count, revenue trends, and more. Look for consistent growth and strong engagement.
Yes. You can build a portfolio by buying tokens from different creators, reducing the risk of relying on one channel's success.
It’s a very different approach. Investing in Google gives you exposure to the entire platform. Royalty.io lets you bet on specific creators you believe in, with the potential for much higher returns per dollar if they grow.
Security & legal
They may be treated as revenue-share contracts, but Royalty.io is working to ensure compliance depending on your region. Some jurisdictions may limit access to accredited investors.
Your tokens and earnings are securely tracked via smart contracts on the blockchain, ensuring transparency and accuracy in payouts. All assets are held within your Royalty.io wallet, which is secured and managed by the platform.
At this time, tokens cannot be moved to external or non-custodial wallets. This allows us to track and manage revenue distribution correctly and cover transaction fees on your behalf.
While no investment is risk-free, your holdings are transparent, verifiable, and automated.
